"Par-Tea Time" is an original hand embellished canvas painting by Scribble Creatures. Made with archival-quality natural cotton, this heavy duty, medium/rough texture surface is professionally constructed, with medium-weight cotton duck stretched around 1.5" profile kiln-dried stretcher bars, held in place with a flexible spline. The painting measures a full 48" by 48".
1. There are 55 characters present in the painting if you include the lilies of the valley, wild 'eye'-rises and 'Fun-Guys' (Fungis).
2. The Bow Tie on the Mad Hatter is our fuzzy friend, the Moth.
3. The Dormouse is a character that is either beloved or detested, which is represented by them being candy corn colored.
4. The cake featured on the table is modeled on the top tier of the Artist's recent wedding cake :)
5. This painting was a top 10 finalist out of over 600 hand crafted pieces in the Alice in Wonderland Prize Exhibition at City Arts Gallery in Orlando, Florida.
6. All three of the Scribble Creature babies are represented in the painting: Miss Honey (as the puppies in the Pup-kin Spice Latte); Sir Hambo (as the Cheshire Cat); and Goontz (as Absolem the Cat-erpillar).
7. In the original painting, the canvas is embellished to create realistic textures for the sprinkle spill, dripping honey pot, sugar cubes, and outfit adornments for the Hare, Hatter's Hat and Alice's earrings.
